Dear Cherokee Heights Elementary School Community,
I am writing to let you know that Principal Heidi Koury has informed us that she has decided to take a position in another district. We are grateful for Principal Koury’s service to Saint Paul Public Schools for almost 20 years.
As we move forward in selecting the next principal of Cherokee Heights Elementary, we want to make sure you are informed and involved. We will miss Principal Koury at Cherokee Heights, and SPPS will find an excellent leader for this community.
The Cherokee Heights community will be kept informed as we move forward with this process. You can expect to see this position posted later today, with school-level interviews expected to take place in early August. Administration will help us select two parents and two staff members to be a part of the interview process. The site will also submit two specific questions to be asked of all candidates.
