Hi! My name is Anne Paron.  Students call me Ms. Paron.  I always tell them my name sounds like the fruit 'pear' plus the letter 'n'.  I've been the school social worker at Cherokee Heights since 2019.  I have a Bachelor’s Degree from the University of Minnesota Duluth and a Master of Social Work degree from Augsburg College. I have worked at a number of schools in St. Paul including Arlington High School, , L’Etoile Du Nord French Immersion, Highwood Hills Elementary School, River East Special Education program, and Maxfield Elementary school.

I love working at Cherokee Heights.  My role is to provide services to help support learning by facilitating social skills groups, individual interventions, and consultation to teachers. I also work with families and children who are experiencing crisis or distress and need assistance with coping at school.  As the Project Reach contact for our school, I assist families who need housing related resources.  As a member of the Special Education team, I am involved in evaluations and providing services to students. I am also the coordinator of the Every Meal Weekend Food Program.  If you're interested in getting a bag of non-perishable food on Friday for your family- all students in St. Paul are eligible.  Please call or email me.
